Privately-held Zapways, Inc. was founded in 1999 by technology executives and a team of experienced software developers to create state-of-the-art document management solutions. In 2004, Zapways was commissioned by a low-cost carrier to develop a cloud-based, airline management software solution that would leapfrog existing legacy systems.
The carrier was dissatisfied with the cost and performance of existing airline reservations and management software, and was seeking a comprehensive, cost-effective, alternative solution. Launched in 2005, Zapways’ software proved critical for airline executives to grow the company into a successful – and profitable - enterprise in a very challenging market, with over 1 million passengers annually.
After receiving inquiries from several other airlines, Zapways refined the system for easy configuration and deployment for low-cost and regional carriers – either as an add-on solution for management command and control, or as a stand-alone system. Today’s Zapways solution is the culmination of over a decade of customer-driven software evolution and refinement, and provides the most feature-rich, intuitive, accessible and affordable system on the market today.
Zapways’ corporate headquarters, state-of-the-art data center, experienced team of rapid-development software engineers and customer service personnel are all located in Irvine, California.
